A733 addWAVE is a robust, universal measuring unit for unattended year round operation. Solar powered wireless data trans-mission allows for quick setup of the station in every environment. Designed for professional users it automatically collects and trans-mits a multitude of parameters
from large scale networks.
Technical Specifications
Even though an A733 addWAVE transmits with an output power of only 500mW in the 70cm frequency band between 430 and 470MHz, it can achieve distances of up to 20km (12 miles). Since every A733 addWAVE can simultaneously be used as data logger and as relay station for other Adcon RTU's (e.g. A723, A733, A740), not only can the distances between the base station and the remotest location be largely expanded, but also can secure transmission be achieved in difficult terrain.
Installing an A733 addWAVE is not difficult at all. With all major components - data logger, radio, power supply -contained in a single, compact aluminum case, neither does the user need an external case nor specific know-how to connect the sensor cables and the solar panel to the RTU.
It is worth mentioning that by default an A733 addWAVE will supply power to all the sensors attached to it. Adcon therefore pays special attention to choose sensors that are not only very power efficient, but also extremely fast in response to avoid warm-up time. Third party sensors can nonetheless be attached if they meet certain requirements. More about this topic you will find on our sensor info page.
Applications
A733 addWAVE stations are widely used in agriculture. Growers, consultants and cooperatives attach up to 12 sensors to calculate ETo, determine soil moisture and collect weather data for disease prediction. Well over 12.000 stations are currently installed.
Monitoring pipelines and related installations is another popular application. Leak detection by Automatic Meter Reading, pressure and reservoir monitoring are the most common use cases.
Hydrographical services use the A733 as universally as it can get: to collect weather data, monitor the levels of surface and ground water, flood warning, soil moisture and water quality monitoring.
